Please ensure that Excel is closed and then try the following steps to install the latest version.

  1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run window
  2. Type %appdata%\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART and press Enter. This will open Excel's startup folder in Windows Explorer
  3. Delete the file named ieaaddin.xlam
  4. Download and run the installer again
  5. Open Excel again and check if the updated version is installed

  6. Let me know how it goes.

    Regards,
    Ian

What files are stored in the %appdata%\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART folder?

It would assist if you could upload a screenshot of the folder.
