When importing the ASCII file, I noticed the “+” sign isn’t being recognized. In the description, I indicate levels with a leading plus (+) sign (e.g., +44.05), but after import, it shows only .05.

Hi RamiID,

To help me pinpoint the issue more accurately, please provide a short extract from the ASCII file where this occurs? Ideally, include:
  • The affected line showing the + value (e.g., +44.05)
  • One line above and one line below for context
Alternatively, a screenshot of that section would also be helpful. This will allow me to assess formatting, delimiters, and any surrounding characters that might be influencing the import behavior. Once I have that, I'll be in a better position to troubleshoot your issue.

Excel can sometimes misinterpret lines that start with a + sign, treating them as formulas or stripping the symbol during import. This is a known quirk, and seeing the raw data will help me in this process.

Kind regards,
Ian

Hi RamilD,

Thank you for the screenshots. Please also send me a screenshot of the data as it exists in the ASCII file exported from WinQS.

Thank you,
Ian
