Hi MSAlbertyn,

The concatenate function is used to combine text, which is split across several consecutive cells, into a single cell. This is normally caused by importing files, such as text exports from earlier versions of WinQS or Lotus 1-2-3 files, into Excel

As a demonstration try the following:
  • Enter "This is the first row." into cell A1.
  • Enter "This is the second row." into cell A2.
  • Enter "This is the last row." into cell A3.

Highlight cells A1 to A3, then select concatenate from the menu. The contents of all three cells should be combined into cell A1.

Please note though that concatenation deletes anything not forming part of the first row. So if there is anything contained in the cells to the right on rows 2 and 3, these will be deleted. If you need to retain this info, it must be moved to another cell outside of rows 2 and 3.

Give it a try and let me know if you need any more help.

Kind regards,
Ian

Thank you Ian

I was trying to concatenate columns, i.e. A1, B1, C1, etc.

Is it possible?

Concatenate cells only works with rows for now, not columns.

I will add columns to the addin wishlist, though I can't commit to a date for delivery.

Regards,
Ian
