Thanks Ian for developing such an easy and quick way to import an ASCII file to Excel. Just one question. When I do the import with the Add-in, it only import the item number and not the page number as well. Is there something I am doing wrong or can I ask that the Add-in be upgraded to import the page reference as well as page number to Excel spreadsheet. Thanks again.

Hi Rudi,
I am glad that you are finding my addin useful.
When importing the ASCII file, ensure that the "Retain WinQS Codes" box is ticked. This retains all of the WinQS references (ISC number, section number, etc.) in hidden columns once the file is imported into Excel. Unhide the required columns as required.
Let me know if you need any additional info to resolve your query.
Regards,
Ian

Thanks Ian. Did not see the hidden columns though. That helped. Thanks again.

It's a pleasure, glad you've come right.
I'll add a note next to the tick box on the import screen stating that the WinQS codes are in hidden columns in the Excel file.
